On long runs like today’s, I hate the feeling of never getting warm. I had compression gear, a long sleeve, mock neck, a hoodie, long running tights, a hat, and gloves, and was still freezing! I think that after the resistance runs yesterday, both Rebecca and I were a little tired. Add that to the cold weather (in the 20s and creeping up to low 30s), it didn’t leave much for motivation. We tuckered out at 9.08 miles today. BUT that’s 9.08 miles that we didn’t do yesterday! I think we will definitely be ready for the Virginia is for Lovers 14k on February 9th regardless of our sluggish pace today. It was nice to see and feel the sunshine today while we were running too. Sometimes all you need is a little vitamin D to pick you up! Other than feeling a little tired, I felt really good out there today. I’ll be more than ready for the race! Live. Love. Run!
